FAQ and Insurance
How do I schedule an appointment? You can request an appointment through our secure online portal. If you don’t see a time that fits, you can contact us directly to explore other options.
What should I expect in my first session? Your therapist will review your intake forms, discuss your goals, and answer any questions you may have so we can create a plan that feels comfortable and supportive.
Do you offer in-person and telehealth appointments? Yes. We offer in-person sessions at our main office and telehealth sessions for clients located anywhere in Virginia through our secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.
What days and times are appointments available? Appointments are offered during standard business hours, with some variation depending on the therapist’s schedule. You can view current availability in our online scheduler.
How often will I meet with my therapist, and how long is each session? Many clients begin with weekly sessions, though the frequency can be adjusted based on needs and availability. Sessions are usually about 55 minutes.
Is everything I share in therapy confidential? Yes, with a couple of important exceptions. Your information is protected by HIPAA and other privacy laws, and what you share stays between you and your therapist. Those exceptions are rare situations where we are ethically and legally required to act for safety — such as immediate risk of harm to you or others, or suspected abuse or neglect of a minor or vulnerable adult. Confidentiality and trust are key to the therapeutic relationship.
Insurance & Fees
We are in-network with Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Cigna/Evernorth. For in-network clients, we verify your benefits before your first session and handle all claim submissions. Copays, coinsurance, and deductibles are determined by your plan. If you choose to work with us out-of-network, we will gladly provide a superbill for you to submit. We do not submit out-of-network claims directly. Check with your insurance to clarify out-of-network options.
If you prefer to pay privately, we accept credit and debit cards, as well as HSA/FSA cards.
